Monterey Bay Vascular is seeking a part-time General Surgeon to enhance our dedicated team of medical professionals. Our practice is a beacon of excellence in vascular health, known for our minimally invasive endovascular revascularization procedures and a broad range of treatments for venous and arterial diseases. Our Ideal Candidate:

• Has 2-3 years of direct patient care experience, particularly in a vascular surgery setting.
• Is a proactive self-starter eager to collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team.
• Brings additional experience in interventional radiology or cath lab settings (preferred).

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing patient appointments, including post-operative follow-ups and wound care.
• Prioritizing tasks such as quality assurance and laboratory result reviews.
• Ensuring excellent patient interactions and bedside manner.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 year of experience in general diagnostics or special procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Strong command of computer skills.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude and great people skills.
• Previous experience with vascular/endovascular or interventional radiology procedures is a plus.

• Taking detailed medical histories and conducting physical exams.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests related to vascular diseases.
• Providing surgical care, including varicose vein procedures, suturing, and wound management.
• Educating patients and families about vascular health and post-operative care.
• Prescribing and managing medications in line with best practice and compliance standards.
• Coordinating comprehensive care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Maintaining thorough records and contributing to practice operations and discussions.
• Engaging in continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest developments in vascular surgery and general medicine.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care.
